Redline does not collect or transmit what you type. It contains no accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs, or third-party purchase SDKs. Optional text entered in Redline's Scratch Pad stays in memory until you clear it or quit.
Redline plays an engine sound that responds while you type in any app. It uses Apple's public aggregate session event counter and does not request Input Monitoring or Accessibility access.
For keyboard activity, the sound model receives two things:
Redline never receives a keyboard event. It cannot determine the physical key, characters, modifiers, target application, or typed text. It installs no event tap and does not save or transmit keyboard activity.
Redline stores your settings and aggregate activity counters in your Mac's local preferences. Those counters include total and daily key counts, odometer distance, best sustained typing speed, and longest streak. Redline stores Garage tunes as JSON files in its local Application Support folder. These records stay on your Mac and are not transmitted. Scratch Pad text is not included in these records.
Redline offers a one-time purchase through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the payment and provides Redline with a verified StoreKit entitlement. We do not receive your payment-card or bank details. Redline sends no purchase data to a third-party service.
Redline is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. The policy will describe any new data use before a version that uses it ships.
